People make lots of rubbish, with tonnes of waste have been transfering to stations. Workers truck waste to temporary transfer stations set up around our city, what's even worse, it is not in one nation, but around the world. To consider it deeper, much of the rubbish are packing materials.

Germany has recognized it and do make significant changes. In 1991, riding a wave of waste-avoidance sentiment, Klaus Topfer, Germany's minister of the environment, declared waste a useful resource. The German legislature then approved a law making whoever places a package into commerce responsible for taking it back. Passed on June 12, 1991, the Packaging Ordinance requires manufacturers or retailers to "take back" their packaging or ensure that 80 percent of it is collected rather than thrown out. Then 80 percent of what's collected has to be reused or recycled.

Except from recycling, there is another way to slow down the disappointing trend, it is to make packing products of good quality. If a bottle or container is durable for use, it will last long for use, so the amount of rubbish is to reduce and we also produce less "potential" rubbish. To recycle a bottle may take twenty cents, while to make it double durable usually cost five cents. At the same time, we can not make sure we may recycle all the broken materials, so by producing products of good quality , we save even more than that. As we know, a good foam pump with bottle not only last long, but also save soap, which is also of chemicals. Soap pumps of better quality also reduce the amount of usages.
